The Kaaba
The Kaaba, located in the sacred city of Makkah (Mecca), is the most revered site in Islam. It is believed to have been originally built by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (Ishmael) as a house of worship dedicated to Allah. Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayer, symbolizing unity, devotion, and the oneness of God. Covered in a black silk cloth called Kiswah, the Kaaba stands at the heart of the Masjid al-Haram, drawing millions of pilgrims each year for Hajj and Umrah.
